What is the minimum amount to qualify for Smart Financing?
You can finance home improvement projects starting at $2,000. It’s important to note that terms and conditions vary depending on your application, but you’ll always be informed with Smart Financing. Our application process is stress-free. Plus, our online bill pay makes monthly payments a breeze. The maximum amount to qualify for Smart Financing is $25,000, with competitive rates ranging from 9.9% to 19.9%. From new Heating and Air units and heat pump upgrades to emergency roof repairs and electrical wiring troubleshooting, Smart Financing can ease the financial burden of both emergencies and upgrades. To apply, you must own a single-family home in Alabama; however, you don’t have to be a current Alabama Power customer to qualify. For more information, find a service dealer near you.

You’ll have access to various financing plans that you can compare, and after you make your selection, relax and let the professionals go to work! You don’t have to be an existing Alabama Power customer to be eligible for financing! However, the address for the project you request funding must be in Alabama. If you’re not an Alabama Power customer, but the project address is within the state, we will set up an account for your convenience, solely designated for your project. You will receive bills from this account and can pay online or by mail. It’s really that easy!
Yes. Either the primary applicant or the co-applicant must own the home and land as designated on the deed. It’s worth noting that if the project is located at a mobile home residence, the applicant must own the mobile home and land. To get started, you just need a valid email address to apply, and that’s it! We offer competitive lending rates on purchases from $2,000 to $25,000. Residential homeowners in Alabama are eligible for our Smart Financing program. We’re proud to offer budget-friendly finance opportunities that can be used for energy-efficient products and services installed in single-family homes (multi-family and commercial properties are not included).

Qualifying for our smart financing does not require being an Alabama Power customer, but if you are, the account holder must be either the applicant or co-applicant. Additionally, applicants must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Have a valid email address
  • Provide a valid ID and be over the age of 19
  • Applicant or co-applicant must be the homeowner designated on the deed
  • If power of attorney is involved, POA documents must be submitted PRIOR to filling out the application.
  • This is an individual loan not applicable to a Trust or LLC
  • Alabama Power takes pride in offering financial resources to our customers as well as company employees / retirees. For more details regarding employee financing, please contact us directly.
