To apply for financing, customers can either contact a Smart Financing service provider who will discuss your requested service and help you complete your application or get pre-approved from this site before your dealer arrives. Once approved, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from different financing terms based on your needs.
Yes. The applicant or co-applicant must be the homeowner designated on the deed. If you’re a current Alabama Power customer, the account holder or responsible party for the account must apply as an applicant or co-applicant for billing purposes. If you’re not an Alabama Power customer, no problem! You don’t have to have electric service with Alabama Power to apply. We finance projects around the state if the customers’ residence is in Alabama. Just apply as a non-Alabama Power customer. Additionally, if a legal Power of Attorney is involved, please submit the POA document to a Smart Financing provider before making an application.
The applicant or co-applicant must own home and land as designated on the deed where the work is being done. This will be verified in county property records or tax records. Please be prepared to show your deed if requested.
A co-applicant is a person who signs the contract with you and can be held responsible for the loan. By adding a co-applicant, unless the co-applicant has filed for bankruptcy, it should only enhance your approval process.
The home where product is being installed must be in the state of Alabama, the applicant or co-applicant must be the owner of the home and land as designated on the deed, and, if applying as an APC customer, the responsible person for billing must be the applicant or co-applicant.

If you or the co-applicant own both the mobile home and the land, you may apply for financing. However, you may NOT apply for financing if you are renting the land in a mobile home community, even if you have a deed/title for the mobile home.

Of course. A mortgage is a secured loan that you take out to purchase a property. A mortgage note indicates that the borrower owns the property with a mortgage lien placed by the lender. Proof of ownership is established through the title deed.
Yes, based on credit approval at the time of application, financing could be approved up to $25,000 combined with your existing loan.
